Saujana Law
Pension law overview, Singapore

Why This Firm

The case for working
with Saujana Law.

There are a number of firms in Singapore that will take on a pension matter. What we offer is a specific approach — careful, frank, and unhurried — that we think is better suited to this kind of work.

What distinguishes this engagement.

Qualified Lawyers, Every Time

No client matter is delegated to paralegal or junior support staff without supervision by a qualified practitioner. You deal with people who know the subject.

No Pressure, No Rush

We do not move faster than the matter requires. Pension questions deserve patience, and we prefer a client who has had time to think over one who has been hurried to a decision.

Frank, Plain Communication

We say what we think. We do not use obscure language to avoid giving a direct view, and we do not over-promise what legal advice can achieve.

Fixed, Transparent Fees

Each service is priced as set out on this site. We do not bill by the hour on these engagements, which means you know the cost before any work begins.

Strict Confidentiality

Legal professional privilege applies to everything you share with us. We take our confidentiality obligations seriously, both as a legal matter and as a matter of professional trust.

Deep Pension Expertise

Pension and retirement law is the firm's primary area of work. We are not a general practice that occasionally handles a CPF matter. This is where our knowledge sits.

Expertise

Professional Knowledge

The lawyers at Saujana Law have spent more than a decade working specifically on pension and retirement matters in Singapore. They are familiar with the Central Provident Fund Act, the Retirement and Re-employment Act, and the way older occupational schemes interact with modern CPF structures.

  • CPF accounts and withdrawal rules
  • Occupational pension schemes, including legacy arrangements
  • Pension nomination and estate alignment
  • Formal pension dispute proceedings

Process

Clear Method, No Surprises

We follow a consistent approach: a first sitting to understand your position fully, a candid assessment of what is achievable, work carried out at a pace that fits the matter, and delivery of a clear output — whether a letter, a plan, or a formal submission.

  • First sitting — no obligation at this stage
  • Written confirmation of scope and fee before work begins
  • Progress updates throughout without needing to ask
  • Final delivery in a format you can keep and use

Service

Attentive Client Care

We return messages within one working day. We do not pass clients between assistants when a direct question deserves a direct answer from a lawyer. When something changes in your matter, you hear from us before you have to ask.

  • Same-day or next-day response to enquiries
  • Direct access to your assigned lawyer
  • Proactive communication on case developments

Value

Fixed Fees, Honest Pricing

Each of the firm's three services carries a fixed fee. There is no hourly billing on these engagements. The Pension Vista Letter is SGD 215. The Long Course in Pension Disputes is SGD 510. The Distant Horizon Estate Plan is SGD 360. What is quoted is what is charged.

  • No hourly billing
  • Fee confirmed in writing before work begins
  • No supplementary charges for standard communications

Outcomes

Realistic About What Is Achievable

We do not tell clients what they want to hear. We give them a candid view of what the law permits and what outcomes are realistically available. Where a matter is unlikely to succeed, we say so at the outset — before any significant fees are incurred.

  • Candid assessment at first sitting
  • Clear explanation of likely and unlikely outcomes
  • No commitment required before you have a full picture

What Sets Us Apart

Things we do that most firms do not.

A document you can keep at home

Each engagement ends with a tangible output — a Pension Vista Letter, a dispute record, or a bound estate plan folder — designed to be kept, read again, and returned to as circumstances change.

A free call before any commitment

We offer a preliminary telephone call to anyone who is considering engaging the firm. This is not a sales call — it is a brief conversation to see whether the matter is one we are well placed to assist with, at no charge and with no obligation on either side.

The Long Course model

For pension disputes, we take a long, deliberate approach. We do not push for a quick settlement where a better one may be available over time, and we do not let a matter drift either. The pace is set by what the matter requires, not by billing targets.

Pension and estate aligned

In many firms, pension advice and estate planning are handled by different teams who do not speak to each other. At Saujana Law, we treat these as parts of the same picture and design our services so that the two pieces align.
