Pension legal services overview

Services

Three services.
Each one considered.

We do not try to be all things. These three services represent the work we do well and the work that we think clients in Singapore most often need from a pension law practice.

Our Approach

How the work is carried out.

Each engagement begins with a sitting — a careful conversation in which we listen to what you face and give you a frank assessment of what we can do. We confirm the scope and the fixed fee in writing before any further work begins. We keep you informed throughout, and we deliver a tangible output at the end.

01

First Sitting

A careful conversation. No obligation at this stage.

02

Written Confirmation

Scope and fee confirmed in writing before work begins.

03

Steady Progress

Work carried out at the pace the matter requires, with regular updates.

04

Final Delivery

A clear, written output you can keep and use.

Service One

Pension Vista Letter

SGD 215 — Fixed fee

This is a long, considered letter prepared after a single sitting in which we set out your pension and retirement position with care — addressing CPF accounts, private schemes, and any older employer arrangements that may still carry entitlement.

The letter is written to be kept and returned to over time. It gives you a settled starting point from which to approach later decisions about your retirement, your estate, or any pension dispute that may arise.

  • Complete review of all CPF account types
  • Coverage of private and employer pension schemes
  • Identification of older entitlements that may be overlooked
  • Written in plain language, not legal shorthand
  • Delivered within two weeks of the sitting

Process steps:

  1. Initial call to confirm suitability (no charge)
  2. Single sitting, usually 90 minutes, in our office or by video
  3. Preparation of the letter by a qualified lawyer
  4. Review draft sent to you for comment
  5. Final letter delivered in writing

Service Two

Long Course in Pension Disputes

SGD 510 — Fixed fee

Representation in pension disputes pursued at a steady, unhurried pace. We prefer measured correspondence and quiet negotiation to adversarial action — but we are willing and prepared to act in formal proceedings where necessary.

You receive a candid view of likely outcomes from the outset and are consulted at every step. We do not move forward without your informed agreement.

  • Candid assessment of likely outcome before any commitment
  • Measured correspondence as the preferred first approach
  • Preparation for formal proceedings if required
  • Consultation at every significant step
  • Written record of all positions and decisions throughout

Process steps:

  1. Initial sitting: review of the dispute and documents
  2. Written assessment of position and realistic outcomes
  3. Agreement on strategy: negotiation or proceedings
  4. Correspondence or formal action, as agreed
  5. Resolution, with written record

Service Three

Distant Horizon Estate Plan

SGD 360 — Fixed fee

An estate-planning service for clients who would like a long, settled view of their affairs. The work covers the will, the lasting power of attorney, and the alignment of pension nominations — producing a single bound folder you may keep at home.

The work is unhurried and carried out across two or three sittings. There is no pressure to decide anything in a single meeting.

  • Will drafted and executed
  • Lasting power of attorney prepared
  • Pension nominations reviewed and aligned with the will
  • Two or three sittings across a comfortable timeframe
  • Single bound folder delivered at completion

Process steps:

  1. First sitting: your assets, wishes, and family situation
  2. Draft will and LPA prepared for your review
  3. Second sitting: amendments and pension nomination review
  4. Execution of all documents under proper witness
  5. Bound folder delivered, with a plain-language summary
